Cancellation & Refund Policy

FULL REFUND: To obtain a full refund, registrants need to notify the APRI administration of cancellation 14 days or more prior to the seminar start date*. If the seminar is cancelled by the APRI administration, the registrant will receive a full refund.

PARTIAL REFUND: If a registrant does not cancel early enough to receive a full refund, they may still be eligible for a partial refund. If the cancellation is at least 5 days prior to the seminar start date*, the registrant may obtain a refund minus a cancellation fee (10% of the cost of the seminar).

NO REFUND: No refund will be given to registrants if they notify the APRI administration of a seminar cancellation less than 5 days prior to the seminar start date*, unless the seminar has been cancelled by the APRI administration.

Means of cancellation: To cancel a seminar, a registrant must email Darcy Lear at apri@uchicago.edu. For refund purposes, cancellation will be deemed effective as of the date and time it is received. The refund will be processed and funds returned by the same payment method used at registration.

*Seminar start dates are listed at https://academicreading.uchicago.edu/seminars/ Please note that this may not be the same date as the first synchronous meeting.
