After learning about our seminars, our upcoming language offerings, and ARCA certification, you’re now ready to apply.

Signing up for an APRI seminar is a three-step process:

The free APRI application helps us gain important information about our prospective participants.

Prospective participants in all seminars (excluding Foundational Reading Seminars in French, German, Italian, and Spanish) must pass a free, online placement test, ensuring that they have the prerequisite language skills for a given seminar.

• Participants will receive the link to their placement test after completing the application, both in the confirmation page and via email.
• Placement tests consist of three to four texts and 40 items. They can be taken immediately after submitting the application or at a later time.

On the registration page, participants will finalize the selection of their seminar(s) and submit their payment.

• Participants will receive the link to register after successfully completing the appropriate placement test.
• During registration, partipicipants must confirm that they’ve read APRI’s cancellation and refund policy.
• The registration fee for each seminar is $1,500.
• UChicago PhD students should contact their Dean of Students for information about registration fees.
